Registration Frequently Asked Questions: What do I get for my NASCAR Membership? How Does This Work For Crew Members? Why do I have to fill out my profile form year after year? I'm a visiting driver and only race a few times per year - - do I have to register with NASCAR? Is Enduro registration mandatory? I'm A Delaware driver, and I do not want to participate in the NASCAR Membership program. What do I get for my NASCAR Membership? From Delaware Speedway you will receive a minimum of $10 off your back gate entry at each event (may be more at special events), given members payout, and free number registration. Furthermore, from NASCAR you are elegible for NASCAR points fund awards and also receive the following additional benefits: � $1,050,000 in participant accident insurance How Does This Work For Crew Members? The Delaware Speedway Crew Membership Program (2005-2008) has been replaced by the NASCAR Membership Program. Holding a NASCAR Licence will give you the discounted back gate admission the previous membership provided, along with numerous other benefits that could not be provided under the old program. Why do I have to fill out my profile form year after year? The information is the same as it was last year! Driver profile sheets are filled out each year as these sheets are used by announcers and media throughout the season. Forms must be filled out each year as the previous year's forms are not in use during events. While filling out forms is a nuisance, it is the most effective way to make sure accurate information is available about you throughout the season, and to get the most value for your sponsors. I'm a driver who only visits Delaware Speedway a few times per year - - do I have to register with NASCAR? No - - visiting drivers who only run a handful of events (typically less then four) do not have to register with NASCAR, however will receive non-member purse at the end of their race and are not entitled to member back gate pricing. Please consult the race director to see if NASCAR Membership would be of value for you and your crew. Is Enduro registration mandatory? Yes. In order to compete in an Enduro event you must complete a number registration. In years past registration was not mandatory, however it is mandatory beginning in 2009. This mandatory registration has the benefit of eliminating the former "pre-race registration" program where drivers filled out entry blanks before each event. It also gives all registered drivers the former "early bird" registration price for race registration ($20 instead of $35). I'm A Delaware driver, and I do not want to participate in the NASCAR Membership program. That's okay - - you will still be allowed to compete in the event, however you will receive the non-member payout, not receive any back gate discount, not be eligible for participation in the Delaware Speedway driver marketing program, or any of the other benefits that come with the NASCAR Membership. Once you weigh the benefits of the NASCAR Membership, we believe you will find that it more pays for itself. Number registration to non-NASCAR members also costs $100. |
