Weekly Division Championship Calculation

 

Competitors are reminded that there are three levels of championships occurring at the track:

 

Delaware Drivers Points: Awarded to the registered driver for each vehicle.  Only NASCAR licensed drivers in these divisions gain points for drivers championship at Delaware Speedway.

 

Delaware Owners Points: Awarded to the car # in each division.

 

NASCAR Provincial / National Points:  APC Late Model division only, scored based on best 18 feature race finishes under that system.

 

APC Late Model Intent To Compete

 

APC Late Model drivers are reminded to submit their “intent to compete” to [email protected].  Simply send your name, car # and hometown to the address and receive a $100 gift certificate from APC when you attempt to qualify.  Intent to compete e-mails are due by Wednesday, September 2.

 

Great Canadian Race Weekend Lineup

 

All championship event races this weekend are being run as scheduled.  There are no current or pending changes to the schedule.  The schedule is available here: http://www.delawarespeedway.com/GCRWSchedule.php

 

Rules Amendments and Suggestions

 

As the end of the season approaches it is time for competitors to send in their proposed rules amendments and suggestions.  Suggestions must be submitted in writing either personally, by e-mail ([email protected]) or by fax (519) 652-5069.

Banquet Date

 

The 2009 Awards banquet will take place the evening of October 24, 2009 at the Hellenic Community Centre located at 133 Southdale Road West.  Tickets will be $55 if purchased before October 2, 2009 or $70 if purchased after October 2, 2009.  No tickets will be available after October 16, 2009.  Order forms are available here: http://www.delawarespeedway.com/BanquetReply2009.pdf
