VIP CONTEST, ADDITIONAL DRIVER PRIZING SET FOR PARTSOURCE 142

Pre-race Barbecue is Wednesday, June 24 from 4 pm to 8 pm

London, ON (June 16, 2009): Delaware Speedway’s annual Canada Day-themed race, the PartSource 142 presented by BX 93, is Friday, June 26. The event, which is part of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, runs a lap for every year in Canada’s history. Now at 142 laps (to celebrate Canada’s 142nd birthday), the race is in its fifth year and has become one of the premier events on the Delaware Speedway schedule, due in large part to the commitment of PartSource to give something unique back to the fans, the drivers and the community.

In the days prior to the race, fans may visit the PartSource on Wharncliffe Road in London and enter into a draw to win a package of four VIP tickets to the race, including the chance to serve as Grand Marshall and wave the green flag for the PartSource 142 presented by BX 93. Two secondary prize winners will also be drawn and will receive general admission tickets to the event. While at the race, all three prize winners will have the chance to choose a driver that they think will win the race. If their driver wins, they’ll receive a $100 gift certificate from PartSource, a PartSource hat autographed by their driver and a pair of tickets to see the season championship, the Great Canadian 300 on Labour Day weekend. Each will also receive a pit tour guided by track announcer, Jared Doxtator.

NASCAR Whelen All-American Series drivers also have an extra incentive to participate in the PartSource 142 presented by BX 93. The pole-winning driver (fastest qualifier) will receive an additional $100 gift certificate, while the top three finishers in the race will receive $600, $400 and $300 PartSource gift certificates for first, second and third respectively.

Fans and drivers are invited to PartSource’s annual pre-race barbecue which will be held from 4 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, June 24 at the PartSource store on Wharncliffe Road in London. Various NASCAR Whelen All-American Series drivers will be on hand with their vehicles on display, including 2007 track champion, Jesse Kennedy. Proceeds of the barbecue will go to “Canadian Tire Jumpstart,” a community-based charitable program that helps kids in financial need participate in organized sport and recreation.

The BX 93 Summer Fun Torrent, powered by Dale Downie, will also be at the pre-race barbecue. All prize winners will be drawn that night as well.

Meanwhile, BX 93 is giving listeners a chance to win a ride in the Exeter Toyota Pace Car at the race. Fans can enter online to win at www.bx93.com or listen to Dave and Jacquie in the morning to win tickets to the race. The winner will be announced on the air on Monday, June 22.

Tickets for the PartSource 142 presented by BX 93 are available now for online purchase at www.delawarespeedway.com. The advanced price is available only until Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at midnight.
