Delaware Speedway Launches New Classifieds March 3, 2009
The classifieds section allows racers free posting of for sale or wanted ads to the popular DelawareSpeedway.com website. In previous years, drivers would e-mail their ad to the speedway and wait for their ad to be posted by the track when the next web update was completed. The new module will allow them to post their own ad onto the system, and even edit that ad once the item is sold. New features included in the new system include: - Improved speed of posting between ad submission and being on the site. The system is currently being hosted through Checkered Flag Media’s website in order to ensure that the new classifieds and its increased server demands do not interfere with DelawareSpeedway.com’s regular services. Checkered Flag Media is better known to race fans as the company that produces the weekly DVD videos of race events at the track. By improving access and ease of posting of used parts through the classifieds, the track hopes to further empower and connect racers so they can shop smarter for their operations. The site will be used by individuals for racing related items only. The original classifieds section launched on DelawareSpeedway.com in 2001. The classifieds have long been rated by fans as an important feature of the website. Because of the feature’s popularity and high readership, racers have reported a high degree of success in selling or acquiring items through the system. Delaware Speedway is a half-mile paved oval stock-car track, located just west of London, Ontario, Canada. For more than 55 years, Delaware Speedway has been the home to some of the finest stock car racing in Canada.
