DELAWARE SPEEDWAY AND CPT ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCE SALES AND MARKETING PARTNERSHIP CPT Entertainment Inc. is “Official Sales and Marketing Partner” of Delaware Speedway
London, ON (March 18, 2009): CPT Entertainment Inc. and Delaware Speedway are proud to announce a new partnership that will recognize CPT as the “Official Sales and Marketing Partner” of Delaware Speedway, one of the top weekly stock car racing facilities in North America. Through the partnership, the team at CPT Entertainment (a London, Ontario-based event management and creative media company) will be responsible for building the base of track sponsorship and working interactively with those businesses to activate dynamic and effective value-added promotions. CPT Entertainment will also work with various media outlets to put a strategic marketing plan in place that will help build the fan base and communicate the excitement and emotion of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing at Delaware Speedway. “CPT brings us a strong marketing team,” said Paul Houghton, Operations Manager at Delaware Speedway. “We need a company like CPT to help us get the word out about Delaware Speedway and the excellent entertainment value it has to offer.” Kevin Bulmer, a partner in CPT Entertainment, is a former employee of Delaware Speedway, having worked at the track in various capacities over a span of nine years, from 1998 to 2007. “We’re excited and proud to be challenged with this opportunity,” said Bulmer. “We believe strongly in the passion, excitement and sense of community in Canadian motorsports. We’re confident that we’ll be able to accomplish some great things for Delaware Speedway, its drivers, fans and business partners.” “Kevin and Dave (Graham, another partner in CPT Entertainment) know our business,” said Houghton. “They have been involved with the Speedway for many years. They know what the Speedway has to offer to both fans and sponsors. I have no doubt that they will help us pack the track in 2009!” This past off-season, Delaware Speedway has returned to the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series after a three-year absence from the program. Delaware was the first facility in Canada to be sanctioned by NASCAR’s weekly program, in 2004. The return to NASCAR sanctioning is just one of many exciting developments at Delaware Speedway for the coming season. “For 2009 we have pulled the chip out of the fun limiter,” Houghton said. “Our events will appeal to both the hard core race fans and somebody who just wants to come out and have a good time. Our strong weekly divisions, the ever-popular Enduro and our traveling series will deliver an entertainment package that will be hard to beat. Our renewed partnership with NASCAR and the first-ever NASCAR Canadian Tire Series race at Delaware Speedway will make 2009 an historic year and one to remember. The fans are going to love what they see at the Speedway this year.” Delaware Speedway Delaware Speedway’s complete 2009 season schedule is available online at www.delawarespeedway.com.
