PARTSOURCE 141 GEARED UP

John Houghton
June 26, 2008

With the weather forecast calling for a great night, The PartSource 141 is set to take to the track this Friday at Delaware Speedway as the first APC Late Model Special of the year!

The PartSource event is a special event that celebrates Canada's confederation in 1867.  To recognize this the number of laps increased by one each year.

The PartSource race has been a memorable event in the past, beginning as the PartSource 138 with winner Jason Hathaway. The next event was the PartSource 139 with DJ Kennington as the winner then the PartSource 140 with Jesse Kennedy taking the checkers. Kennedy would later go on to claim the APC 300 and the Delaware Speedway championship.

The APC Late Models are coming of an amazing event that had Rocket Ron Sheridan (#52) of Mt. Brydges and Steve Robblee (#28) of Dorchester going door handle to door handle in the closest finish in Delaware Speedway history. The defending winner of the PartSource 141 Jesse Kennedy (#10) of Southwold did not fare so well in the race, with a broken sway bar taking him out of competition.

What will happen this week? You’ll have to be there to find out.

Fans are reminded that the event features the “Grandest Grandstand Wave”, where fans wear red and white to celebrate Canada as well as bring banners and signs to support their favorite driver. Man fans also bring flags and noisemakers to give the drivers a big send off at the event.

Gates open at 6:00 PM, time trials at 7:30 PM and racing starts at 8:00 PM. Will it be a track record night? Be there to see history in the making!
