Delaware Speedway Launches New Website for 2008 Season

John Houghton

November 10, 2007

Delaware Speedway’s website has received a new look for the 2008 racing season.  The new homepage is a completely new website built from scratch for the Delaware Speedway racing community.

“The Delaware Speedway website is an important communication tool which is viewed by competitors, sponsors, as well as thousands of race fans throughout the season,” said Announcer John Houghton.  “Fans want to find the information they are looking for quickly, sponsors want to see how their drivers are doing, and competitors need the most up to date information on rules, registration and championship points.  We hope the new website will further improve upon the way the previous website delivered this information.”

Along with the obvious change of a new look several new features have been added.  The new Fan Guide is designed to allow new fans to find all the information they need in one place.  Other improvements include a cleaned uplook for the home page while still including the important “Quick News” box and upcoming events.  The competition section has received an overhaul and will soon include easy to find information for potential competitors as well as current drivers and crew.

The site will also eventually be the home of the Delaware Speedway history project, which will be continuing with its work of recording the rich history of Delaware Speedway.

As the 2008 season approaches areas of the site will be added to as information becomes available.
